A little bit about us...We are John, Sharon, and Adrianna Henegar and we would like to welcome you to Magical Goldens. We take pride in raising AKC registered English Cream Golden Retrievers and F1b Standard Goldendoodles. We are small responsible breeders whose goal is to bring a touch of magic to your world through the power of a dog. We have a true passion and love for these breeds and everything involved in the process of caring for and raising our gorgeous puppies and their parents.
We are located in the mountain country of Prim, Arkansas, near the beautiful Greers Ferry Lake. Here our dogs are privileged to hike nearby trails with us, swim in lakes, rivers, and our pond, chase squirrels and deer, befriend our cats, and finally curl up on the rug for a much needed nap. There is always plenty of adventure and excitement to awaken their senses and stimulate their minds. 
Our commitment to the health and temperament of our dogs and puppies...We at Magical Goldens feel strongly about continuing the legacy of the Golden Retriever. We have carefully chosen quality Goldens with sweet temperaments and impressive Champion pedigrees for our breeding program. We do our very best to provide you with healthy puppies by making sure all of our dams and sires are health tested through Pennhip, OFA and Embark and have earned the Good Dog badge of Exellent for our health testing. Our Goldens are true to the conformation of the breed with beautiful structure, thick muzzles and blocky heads. With this amazing mixture our Golden Retrievers have proven to be the smartest, sweetest dogs that we have had the privilege of raising. Excelling in many areas such as therapy, service, emotional support, hunting, sports, and cuddling!
The first 8 weeks...Our dogs are family and we earnestly strive to produce the healthiest and happiest of Golden Retriever puppies starting from birth and continuing as long as they are in our care. At the heart of our breeding program is the desire to offer high quality service and therapy dogs. We have personally saw the benefits these dogs are to so many people! We raise our puppies with a mixture of the Puppy Culture and BAB protocols which gives them a HUGE step up when preparing them for their future. Starting at 3 days old we utilize the ESI (Early Scent Introduction) and ENS Bio Sensor program for Early Neurological Stimulation, also known as the "Super Dog" program. We continue with age appropriate confidence building curriculum, noise desensitization, gentle handling exercises, and introduction to potty training. One of the many benefits of being a small breeder is that we are able to give our moms and their puppies the one on one time and attention that they need to help them become the loving companion that you deserve. Our puppies are highly trainable and will be introduced to beginning crate training starting at 6 weeks old.

Why Breeding...Prior to becoming a breeder myself, I (Sharon) have helped in my family's dog breeding business for 8 years, loving every minute of working with, snuggling, and cuddling the sweet puppies and their parents. Our youngest daughter has always loved Golden Retrievers, although we had never had one of our own. She worked hard, doing any odd job she could, and saved every penny, until she could adopt her very own puppy! Little did we know that the whole family would be smitten! From the first time she wrapped her paws around my little girl's arm as if to say, "I'm the one you want!" she had our hearts.
I have had many pets in my lifetime, but never has one captured my love like these sweet Goldens. We all fell in love with the breed, and thus began our mission of sharing with you the joy of owning one of these magical creatures. We are so blessed and excited to pass on our passion and love for this breed of dog to those of you who choose to make one of our precious puppies your lifelong companion. 
Where the magic happens...When we first began our puppies were raised in our home for the first few weeks, then moved to our garage for the last few weeks. We quickly realized that this was not ideal for neither us or the puppies. We began planning the perfect nursery where our puppies would have their own space that would be comfortable for mom and puppies and could be sanitized daily to prevent disease from affecting our babies. Our puppy nursery is in it's own building, detached from our home. It has a "homey" feel with LVP flooring, whitewashed pine walls and ceiling with corrugated tin wainscoting in the puppy area. We have space for up to 3 litters although we have never had more than 2 at a time. Our main nursery area is one big room with 3 doors going outside to raised dog runs. Each door has a doggy door installed and our puppies quickly learn to use this door to go outside to potty and play. We divide the main nursery up with partitions that can be changed to best accommodate the growing puppies' needs. Air conditioned and heated for optimal comfort for our dogs and puppies.
Our workroom is fully equipped with washer, dryer, refrigerator, microwave, sink with hot and cold water, a stainless bathing station for our dogs and puppies and lots of storage shelves and cabinets.
